We would like to inform you that pursuant to order vide communication dtd. 21.01.2020 of the Department of Commerce, MOC & I, Shri Darpan Jain, Joint Secretary, Department of Commerce has been appointed as Part Time Govt. Nominee Director on the Board of MMTC vice Shri Sunil Kumar.

1. Shri Darpan Jain, aged 42 years belongs to IAS-2001 batch of Karnataka Cadre. Shri Jain holds M.Tech in Industrial Engineering from IIT, Delhi and Master of Science from London School of Economics & Political Science, London. Shri Jain was conferred the Hon’ble Prime Minister’s Award for Excellence in Administration for the year 2011-12 for the initiative “Saving Open Spaces and Urban Lakes (SOUL) and Cultural Rejuvenation” in the twin city of Hubli-Dharwad in the individual category. Prior to his present position as Joint Secretary in Department of Commerce, Shri Jain has held various senior positions with the Government of Karnataka.

2. It is hereby informed that:-

   • (i) Shri Darpan Jain is not related to any other Director on the Board of the Company on the date of his appointment in MMTC Limited.

   • (ii) Shri Darpan Jain is not debarred from holding the office of Director pursuant to any SEBI order or order of any other such authority.

The above intimation is pursuant to Regulation 30(3) of the SEBI (Listing Obligations & Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.
