Appointment of Non-Executive Director

The Board of Metro Mining Limited (ASX: MMI) (‘ Metro ’, the ‘ Company ’) is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr Jennifer Purdie as an Independent, Non-Executive Director.

Dr Purdie currently serves as a Non-Executive Director of Neometals Limited (ASX: NMT) and holds a PhD from the University of Auckland and an Executive MBA from the University of Queensland. Dr Purdie brings a wealth of expertise across mining, heavy manufacturing and energy sectors, with her executive experience including complex operational and functional roles with BHP as its Asset President for Olympic Dam / Copper South Australia, the Executive GM Gas Distribution with Jemena Ltd and as CEO for Adani Renewables. Dr Purdie has also recently served as a member of the South Australian Research and Innovation Strategic Planning Committee, the South Australian Gender Pay Gap Task Force and as Governor of the American Chamber of Commerce.
