ASX ANNOUNCEMENT

COMPANY SECRETARY RESIGNATION AND APPOINTMENT

MetroCoal Limited (ASX-MTE) advises that Mr John Haley will resign as Chief Financial Officer and Company Secretary of the Company effective 19 May 2014, and Mr Scott Waddell will be appointed as Chief Financial Officer and Company Secretary.

Scott Waddell is currently Cape Alumina Limited’s (ASX:CBX) Chief Financial Officer and Company Secretary having been appointed in June 2010. Prior to joining Cape Alumina, he served as Head of Finance for the Monash Energy project in Victoria’s La Trobe valley.

Scott’s appointment is part of the implementation of our previously stated intention to plan to achieve operational savings by amalgamating functions within Cape Alumina and MetroCoal.
