REVIEW OF REVOCATION OF POOLED DEVELOPMENT FUND REGISTRATION – APPLICATION TO THE ADMINISTRATIVE APPEALS TRIBUNAL

MEC Resources Limited (“ MEC ” or the “ Company ”), on 6 May 2021, advised that the Delegate of Innovation and Science Australia (“ Department ”), as required by s55(5) of the PDF Act, had reconsidered the Committee’s decision of 3 February 2021 and following review of further information provided by MEC on 18 March 2021 and 15 April 2021 and the Delegate had informed MEC via letter dated 30 April 2021 that he had confirmed the Committee’s decision of 3 February 2021 to revoke MEC’s registration declaration as a PDF under s47 of the PDF Act.[1]

Administrative Appeals Tribunal

MEC can confirm that it has now applied, through its legal representative, to the Administrative Appeals Tribunal under the Administrative Appeals Tribunal Act 1975 for review of the decision by the PDF Board. This appeal notice was lodged on 12 May 2021 well within the lodgment deadline of 28[th] May 2021.
