BOARD RESTRUCTURE

• Doug Verley & Geoff Murray have resigned as Non-Executive Directors of MEC Resources Ltd.

• Steve James has joined the Board as an experienced non-executive director.

• The Company thanks Mr Verley and Mr Murray for their service to MEC.

APPOINTMENT OF DIRECTOR

MEC Resources Ltd (ASX:MMR, “ MEC ”, “ The Company ”) is pleased to announce the appointment of NonExecutive Director Mr Steve James to the Board.

Steve has over 30 years’ experience in the financial services industry having worked for Australia’s largest banks as well as European and American institutions. Steve has a thorough knowledge across foreign exchange trading, financial planning, capital raisings and stockbroking where he was a key figure in developing Australia’s largest wholesale broking business.

Steve is a highly experienced company director across both listed and unlisted entities in diverse operations from sporting bodies, financial services organisations and the property industry. Steve holds a Master’s Degree in Financial Services Law, a Master Stockbroker Qualification, a Diploma of Financial Markets and is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

During the last 3 years Steve has not held any listed company directorships.

He is currently non-executive director of Advent Energy Ltd which is a substantial shareholder of MEC holding a 15.41% interest at present.

MEC’s Managing Director, David Breeze, said “ We are pleased to welcome Mr James to the Board. He brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the Company including considerable experience in funds management. ”

RESIGNATION OF DIRECTORS

As MEC works towards its next phase of capital raise and reinstatement on the ASX, both Mr Verley and Mr Murray have taken the decision to resign from the Company as Non-Executive Directors.

MEC’s Managing Director, David Breeze thanks both Mr Verley and Mr Murray for their contribution to the Company. “ On behalf of the Board, I thank Doug and Geoff for their contribution to the Company. We wish them well in their future endeavors”.

This announcement has been approved by the Board of Directors of MEC Resources Limited.
