MARTIFER INFORMS ABOUT THE AWARD OF A 68 MILLION EURO CONTRACT

Martifer, SGPS, S.A., a publicly-traded company ("Martifer"), informs that its subsidiary Martifer UK Ltd has been awarded a contract for the supply and assembly of steel structure railway viaducts in Birmingham, as part of the High Speed 2 (HS2) project. This new high-speed railway line will connect London to the North of England. HS2 is the largest infrastructure construction project in the United Kingdom and in Europe and the most important economic and social regeneration project of the last decades, with a unique contribution to carbon neutrality.

The contract has an estimated value of 68 million euros, and the estimated timeframe for the execution of the work is 47 months.

The manufacture of the steel structure will be mainly done in Martifer Group's industrial complex in Oliveira de Frades, allowing the reinforcement of Martifer Group's exports, which currently represent more than 85% of the turnover in the steel structure segment in Portugal.

The award of this contract demonstrates confidence in national engineering and in Martifer Group's technical capacity.
