APPOINTMENT OF CHAIRMAN

Marston's PLC is pleased to announce that Roger Devlin will be appointed as Chairman with effect from 1st September 2013, when David Thompson steps down.

Roger is currently Chairman of Gamesys (one of Europe's largest internet gaming businesses), SIS (the sports media group) and Porthaven Nursing Homes.  In 2012 he was appointed the first Independent NED by the Football Association. He was also Chairman of the Principal Hayley Group, a leading hotel and conference venue operator until its sale to Starwood Capital in Feb 2013, and until 2011 served as a Non-Executive Director of National Express and RPS Group.  

After graduating in law at Oxford University he started his career at Hill Samuel in 1978 and went on to lead their New York and Mergers and Acquisitions businesses.  Between 1995 and 2006 he was Corporate Development Director at Hilton, including Ladbrokes.

There are no other details that are required to be disclosed in respect of Roger Devlin's appointment under Rule 9.6.13 of the Listing Rules of the UK Listing Authority.
