Company Announcement pursuant to the Listing Rules of the Listing Authority

The following is a Company Announcement issued by MAPFRE Middlesea p.l.c, pursuant to the Listing Rules of the Listing Authority.

In view of current events related to the spread of COVID-19 (Coronavirus) in the world and in Malta in particular, and in addition to the measures already being taken by MAPFRE Middlesea p.l.c ('the Company') as communicated in the Company Announcement dated 16 March 2020 (MMS314), the Company hereby informs the market and its shareholders that it has decided to postpone the Annual General Meeting (AGM), originally scheduled for 24 April 2020, to a future date.

This decision has been made further to the general restriction on public gatherings of any type as imposed and communicated by the Government of Malta on 22nd March 2020.

The Company, meanwhile, continues to monitor the situation on a daily basis and remains committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of its employees, clients and service providers. The Company also remains committed to taking all and any corrective action as may be required to mitigate, insofar as possible, the negative impact of these extraordinary times on the Company's operations.

The Company shall communicate any such action as may be required as well as the date of the rescheduled AGM, and all other dates associated therewith including the date when the dividend will be paid, as soon as it is appropriate to do so.
