Company Announcement pursuant to the Listing Rules of the Listing Authority

The following is a Company Announcement issued by MAPFRE Middlesea p.l.c, pursuant to the Listing Rules of the Listing Authority.

In view of current events related to the spread of COVID-19 (Coronavirus) in the world and in Malta in particular. MAPFRE Middlesea p.l.c ('the Company') hereby informs the market and its shareholders that it is monitoring the situation on a continuing basis and that it is committed to the safety and well-being of its employees, clients and service providers. The Company is also committed to taking corrective action as may be required to mitigate, insofar as possible, the negative impact the extraordinary events could have on the Company's operations and business.

To this end, whilst also noting the measures being introduced by the Government of Malta to safeguard public health, the Company advises that as of today, Monday, 16 March 2020, the Company's offices shall be closed to the public until further notice. To ensure the continuity of service to clients, however, the Company encourages clients to make use of the website www.middlesea.com, the on-line portal, email and telephone to make contact with the Company.

Meanwhile, business continuity plans have been engaged and the vast majority of employees will be working remotely as of today, Monday 16 March 2020.

The Board of Directors and Management shall continue to review and assess the evolving situation and remain committed to taking and communicating any further appropriate measures which may be required as the situation develops.
