Mach7 Technologies Awarded Second US Patent for Mobile Device Image Capture

Melbourne, Australia; 25 August 2016: Mach7 Technologies Limited ( Mach7 or the Company ) (ASX: M7T ), a recognised leader in the enterprise imaging market, today announced that it has been awarded a second US Patent for medical image capture with a mobile device. The first US Patent awarded to the Company was previously announced on 13 January 2016.
The second United States Patent is described as Patent No. US 9,411,823 B1 “ Handheld Medical Imaging Mobile Modality ” and covers a method of acquiring medical imaging data via a mobile device and covers user authentication, medical image and video capture, association to the patient record, and secure wireless communication of image/video and metadata to a server. The method also includes a program for requesting, providing and transmitting medical image data from any mobile device.
The patented technology is commercially available in Mach7 iModality, Mach7’s mobile image capture application. Mach7 iModality leverages the value of Mach7 Enterprise Imaging Platform by securely providing front-line clinicians and care providers with a superior mobile solution to capture and integrate photos, videos, sound files and notes and directly connect that data to the patient’s electronic medical record.
