Melbourne, Australia; 29 October 2018: Mach7 Technologies Limited (ASX:M7T), a company specialising in innovative data management solutions for healthcare providers, today announced it has been selected by the Hospital Authority of Hong Kong (Hospital Authority) to provide its Enterprise Imaging Solution for the entire territory of Hong Kong. The contract awarded is for an initial term of five years, at a price of HK$81 million (approximately A$15 million). Hospital Authority may extend the initial term for a further period of up to five years at an incremental cost.
Mach7’s unique abilities in the areas of intelligent data routing and image normalisation will empower physicians and radiologists to access clinical data from any location across the entire territory of Hong Kong, with a consistent and informed user experience for optimal patient care. A single network for imaging will enable faster speed of diagnosis and better clinical outcomes for patients by avoiding repeat examinations, reducing radiation exposure and saving time and money.
Mach7 Enterprise Imaging Platform will provide a total image sharing solution to enable image receiving, transfer, storage and viewing across public and private healthcare providers. The solution includes support for radiology image sharing among all Hospital Authority and Electronic Health Record Sharing System (eHRSS) participating healthcare providers, and includes components to enable vendor neutral image archiving, transfer and viewing. The Mach7 solution also provides an Enterprise Image Viewer to enable users including the Hospital Authority, Department of Health, private hospitals and clinics, to access clinical images from a single zerofootprint viewer.
“We are very excited about this new strategic partnership with Hong Kong’s finest health care system,” stated Ravi Krishnan, Mach7 Founder and Chief Strategy Officer. “It demonstrates the power of the Mach7 solutions to improve operational and clinical outcomes across an entire healthcare system, delivering a highly efficient and reliable platform for Hong Kong’s demanding imaging requirements.”
Mach7 and the Hospital Authority will proceed to contracting stage.
