Sentara Healthcare Selects Mach7 as PACS Vendor of Choice
Melbourne, Australia; 5 November 2018: Mach7 Technologies Limited (ASX:M7T), a company specialising in innovative data management solutions for healthcare providers, today announced it has been selected, together with Client Outlook, Inc., as the vendor of choice for Sentara Healthcare’s Picture Archive Communication System (PACS) modernisation project. Sentara will incorporate Mach7’s Diagnostic Studio and Client Outlook’s eUnity radiology reading functionality for this PACS project.
With the goal of modernising their PACS through a reconstructed architecture, Sentara selected Mach7 after a tender process that included exhaustive review of the top PACS vendors in the industry.
This project builds on an existing partnership that started in 2014, when Sentara implemented Mach7’s vendor neutral archive (VNA) across its facilities in Virginia and northeast North Carolina. Mach7 is currently supporting Sentara with the migration from five separate PACS systems into its VNA. Today’s announcement marks yet another milestone in the partnership as Sentara and Mach7 continue collaborating to build the foundation for a best-in-class, modernised imaging platform.
Sentara forecasts substantial annual cost savings from Mach7’s and eUnity’s diagnostic capabilities. The combined solution will integrate with Sentara’s other systems to improve medical imaging fluidity across sites and increase radiology and clinician workflow efficiency, resulting in better patient care.

Solidifying the companies’ shared long-term commitment to imaging system modernisation, the agreement also includes a luminary site designation that will drive continued innovation and evolution of imaging platforms. The luminary site designation includes a Clinical Advisory Board and establishment of an Imaging Innovations Lab at Sentara’s facility. The Lab will maintain the necessary infrastructure to support a modernized PACS platform.
Mach7 and Sentara will proceed to contracting stage. Whilst the contract values are not yet finalised, it is expected this contract will include a subscription license, adding to Mach7’s existing contracted recurring revenue.
