SAFETY MEDICAL PRODUCTS LIMITED EXPIRY OF 31 DECEMBER 2010 LISTED OPTIONS

In relation to the 7,152,711 listed options exercisable at $5.00 each on or before 31 December 2010 (SFPOA) ( Options ), we wish to provide the following information as required by paragraph 6.1 of Appendix 6A of the ASX Listing Rules:

(a) Number of Options on issue – 7,152,711 Options (convertible into 7,152,711 ordinary fully paid shares);
(b) Exercise Price - $5.00 per Option;
(c) The due date for payment – on or before 31 December 2010;
(d) The consequence of non payment – the Options lapse;
(e) The date that quotation of the Options will cease – 22 December 2010;
(f) The latest available market price of the underlying securities – 3.7 cents on 25 February 2010;
(g) The underlying securities were untraded during the 3 months immediately before 1 December 2010.
(h) The details of any underwriting agreement notified under ASX Listing Rule 3.11.3 – No underwriting agreement been entered into by the Company to date in respect of the exercise of the Options. In the event that the Company secures underwriting prior to the expiry date of the Options, an announcement will be released to ASX in accordance with ASX Listing Rule 3.11.3.

The Company has sought and been granted a waiver from ASX Listing Rule 6.24, permitting the Company to not send notices to option holders given the remote likelihood of options being exercised. Accordingly an options expiry notice will not be sent to option holders.
