IMPORTANT UPDATE

Update on Joint Venture Entity (“JVE”)

As announced on September 21[st] 2009 [(1)] Safety Medical Products Limited (“SafetyMed”; ASX Code SFP) signed a letter of intent to establish a Joint Venture Entity with a major Hungarian Medical Products Manufacturer, Dispomedicor Zrt (‘Dispomedicor”) under which SafetyMed will have the opportunity to directly purchase up to a 40% stake in Dispomedicor.

Negotiation have progressed further and Dispomedicor have provided SafetyMed with details of the company’s unaudited total revenue of AUD$22 million (HUF3,630 million) and unaudited net profit of AUD$1 million (HUF187 million) for the year ended 31 December 2008. Dispomedicor currently holds approximately 70% of the Hungarian syringe market and exports approximate 37% of its’ products to a number of countries including Germany, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Turkey and Greece.

Dispomedicor are well placed to expand their production facilities and distribution networks.

SafetyMed now plan to commence more detailed due diligence and identify potential investors. SafetyMed’s shareholders have an opportunity to further invest in this global JVE opportunity through the extended Share Purchase Plan that closes on 6 December 2009.
