General Manager The Company Announcements Office Australian Stock Exchange Limited Australia Square Sydney NSW 1215

Official Supplier to South Australian Mental Health Services

Safety Medical Products Limited ( ASX: SFP) is pleased to announce that it has been chosen as the preferred supplier of 1ml retractable syringes to Mental Health Services in South Australia.

Following recent evaluation and training, the 1ml SecureTouch will be phased in to replace the 1ml safety and standard syringes currently being used across the eight Hospitals and Centers that operate under the Mental Health Services umbrella.

This is another important milestone in the Company’s development and further validates the strategy of being able to replace standard syringes in the market place with the economical SecureTouch model.

Department leaders have also expressed a keen interest to implement the larger size versions of the SecureTouch (3ml and 5ml) when they become available.

Access to further markets will be assisted by this development, particularly in the Company’s push to supply into the Federal Government Clean Needle Program.

This follows other recent announcements (18[th] Feb. and 31[st] March) of the Company’s SecureTouch Retractable Syringes and Comfort Point Pen Needles being listed on the Federal Government’s National Diabetes Services Scheme (NDSS) giving access to a market of more than 70 million units per annum and revenues of over $9 million.

SafetyMed is the only Australian company approved to supply Retractable Syringes and Pen Needles to the NDSS and is implementing marketing and promotional strategies to ensure maximum exposure and penetration of the company’s products into this program.
