There has been considerable coverage in the media regarding Safety Medical Products Limited Chairman, Mr. John Darley, potentially becoming a member of the Legislative Council in the South Australian Parliament.
The Company wishes to advise that should Mr. Darley ultimately be appointed as a member of the Legislative Council, it is his intention to continue as the Chairman of Safety Medical Products and he does not expect the appointment to interfere in any way with his role as Chairman of the Company.
On behalf of my fellow directors, I would like to offer John our full support with his political ambitions and believe he will be able to make a significant contribution to the running of the state.
