Lupin Launches First Generic Version of Oracea® (Doxycycline Capsules) in the United States

Mumbai, Naples, April 9, 2024 : Global pharma major Lupin Limited (Lupin) today announced the launch of first generic version of Oracea® (Doxycycline Capsules, 40 mg), in the United States, after having received an approval from the United States Food and Drug Administration (U.S. FDA).

Doxycycline Capsules, 40 mg is indicated for the treatment of only inflammatory lesions (papules and pustules) of rosacea in adult patients.

Doxycycline Capsules had estimated annual sales of USD 128 million in the U.S. (IQVIA MAT February 2024).
