Item 8.01. Other Events On August 17, 2009, LightPath Technologies, Inc. ("LightPath" or the "Company") issued a Press Release announcing that the Company has elected to change the date of its Annual Meeting of Shareholders which, for the past several years, has been held in or around October. It is anticipated that the next Annual Meeting will be held in February 2010. The record date for the determination of shareholders entitled to notice of and to vote at the Annual Meeting, and at any adjournment or postponement thereof, will likely be mid-December. The Company also announced the fourth quarter of fiscal 2009 quarterly conference call. A copy of the Press Release is furnished with this Current Report on Form 8-K as Exhibit 99.1 and is incorporated herein by reference. Item 9.01.
