PRE-EARNINGS GUIDANCE FOR 1Q 2020

(UNAUDITED OPERATING STATISTICS)

LG Electronics Inc. (the ''Company'') is pleased to announce certain unaudited operating statistics of the Company and its subsidiaries (the ''Group'') for the first quarter of 2020 as follows.

In the first quarter of 2020, the Group's consolidated sales amounted to KRW 14,728.7 billion (as compared to KRW 16,061.2 billion in 2019.4Q and KRW 14,915.1 billion in 2019.1Q), representing a quarter-on-quarter increase of -8.3% (QoQ -8.3%) and a year-on-year increase of -1.2% (YoY

-1.2%).

The Group's consolidated operating income amounted to KRW 1,090.4 billion (as compared to KRW 101.8 billion in 2019.4Q and KRW 900.6 billion in 2019.1Q), representing a quarter-on-quarter decrease of 971.1% (QoQ 971.1%) and a year-on-year increase of 21.1% (YoY 21.1%).
