PRE-EARNINGS GUIDANCE FOR 3Q 2019

(UNAUDITED OPERATING STATISTICS)

LG Electronics Inc. (the ''Company'') is pleased to announce certain unaudited operating statistics of the Company and its subsidiaries (the ''Group'') for the third quarter of 2019 as follows.

In the third quarter of 2019, the Group's consolidated sales amounted to KRW 15,699.0 billion (as compared to KRW 15,629.2 billion in 2019.2Q and KRW 15,427.0 billion in 2018.3Q), representing a quarter-on-quarter increase of 0.4% (QoQ 0.4%) and a year-on-year increase of 1.8% (YoY 1.8%).

The Group's consolidated operating income amounted to KRW 781.1 billion (as compared to KRW 652.3 billion in 2019.2Q and KRW 748.8 billion in 2018.3Q), representing quarter-on-quarter increase of 19.7% (QoQ 19.7%) and a year-on-year increase of 4.3% (YoY 4.3%).
