KONE appoints Ilkka Hara as CFO and Member of the Executive Board

KONE appoints Ilkka Hara as CFO and Member of the Executive Board

Ilkka Hara (41) has been appointed CFO (Chief Financial Officer) and a member of
the Executive Board at KONE as of August 8, 2016. He will be based in Espoo,
Finland and report to Henrik Ehrnrooth, President and CEO, KONE Corporation.

The appointment follows Eriikka Söderström's decision to leave KONE at the end
of July 2016 to pursue other interests outside the company. Eriikka has served
as CFO of KONE and a member of the Executive Board since April 2014 and prior to
that as Corporate Controller.

Ilkka Hara joins KONE from Microsoft, where he has served as General Manager and
CFO for the Phones Business since 2014 based in Redmond, Washington, U.S.A. His
previous roles include various finance and M&A related leadership roles at Nokia
since 2004. Prior to working for Nokia, Ilkka gained experience in investment
banking with a special focus in the technology sector. Ilkka holds a M.Sc.
(Econ) from the Helsinki School of Economics.
