KONE appoints Henrik Ehrnrooth as CFO and Member of the Executive Board

KONE Corporation, stock exchange release, February 25, 2009 Henrik Ehrnrooth (40) has been appointed CFO (Chief Financial Officer) as of May 1, 2009. Henrik Ehrnrooth will be a Member of the Executive Board and report to Matti Alahuhta, President & CEO, KONE Corporation. Henrik Ehrnrooth will succeed Aimo Rajahalme, who has served as CFO since 1991, as well as in other financial management roles since the beginning of his employment with the company in 1973. Prior to his retirement on December 31, 2009, Aimo Rajahalme will support Henrik Ehrnrooth during a transition phase as an Executive Advisor. Henrik Ehrnrooth will join KONE from Goldman Sachs, where he has worked since 1998, most currently as Managing Director in Investment Banking. He has a M.Sc. (Econ) degree from the Hanken School of Economics in Helsinki."Henrik Ehrnrooth will bring us great international experience and know-how from the financial world," says Matti Alahuhta.
