Acquisition of Shareholding in a Company seated outside of the European Union

Under the terms and for the purposes of art. 16-C of the Securities Code, Jerónimo Martins SGPS, S.A., informs that its indirect wholly owned subsidiary, Jerónimo Martins – Agro-Alimentar, S.A. (JMA), has acquired today shares representing 66.68% of the share capital of Mediterranean Aquafarm, S.A., a company incorporated under Moroccan law.

This acquisition embodies a partnership in Morocco that will allow JMA to continue developing its aquaculture network to produce sea bass, sea bream and meagre in offshore cages. Morocco is a country with exceptional coastal/marine conditions ensuring high quality, and that, due to its geographic proximity to Portugal, also guarantees the fish freshness.
