ರವಿವಾರ ಮಾಣಿಕ್ ಷಾ ಪರೇಡ್ ಮೈದಾನದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾಧ್ಯಮ ಪ್ರತಿನಿಧಿಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ ಅವರು, ಸ್ವಾತಂತ್ರ್ಯ ಹೋರಾಟಗಾರರ ತ್ಯಾಗ, ಬಲಿದಾನಗಳನ್ನು ಸರಿಸಿದರು. ಮುಖ್ಯಮಂತ್ರಿ ಬಸವರಾಜ ಬೊಮಾಯಿ ಅವರ ಸಮರ್ಥ ನಾಯಕತ್ತದಲ್ಲಿ ಬಡವರ ಪರ ಮತ್ತು ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ ಕೆಲಸಗಳನ್ನು ಮುಂದುವರಿಸುತ್ತೇವೆ ಎಂದು ಇದೇ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು. ರಾಯಣ್ಣ ಜನ್ಧಸ್ಥಳ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ: ಕ್ರಾಂತಿವೀರ ಸಂಗೊಳ್ಳಿ ರಾಯಣ್ಣನ ಜನ್ಞದಿನವನ್ನು ಹುತಾತ್ಜ ದಿನವನಾಗಿ ಸರಕಾರದ ವತಿಯಂದ ಆಚರಿಸಲು ಘೋಷಿಸಿದ ಸಿಎಂ ಬೊಮಾಯಿ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಧನ್ಯವಾದಗಳನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ. ಸಂಗೊಳ್ಳಿ ರಾಯಣ್ಣ ಜನ್ಧಸ್ಥಳ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಗೆ 10 ಎಕರೆ ಜಮೀನು ನೀಡಲಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಮಾಹಿತಿ ನೀಡಿದರು.

ರವಿವಾರ ನಗರದ ಕ್ರೀಡಾಂಗಣದಲ್ಲಿ 75ನೆ ಸ್ವಾತಂತ್ರ್ಯೋತ್ತವ ಅಂಗವಾಗಿ ಧಚಾರೋಹಣ ನೆರವೇರಿಸಿದ ಬಳಿಕ ಸುದ್ದಿಗಾರರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ ಅವರು, ಮುಹೂರ್ತ ನೋಡಿ ಖಾತೆ ಸ್ವೀಕರಿಸುವೆ ಎಂದರು.

ನಾನು ಅಧಿಕಾರ ವಹಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳದಿದ್ದರೆ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ ಕುಂಠಿತವಾಗುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಜನಪ್ರತಿನಿಧಿಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆ ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಿಲ್ಲ. ಇನ್ನು, ರಾಜ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ದಿಟ್ಟ, ಸಮರ್ಥ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಅಲ್ಲಿಯವರೆಗೆ ಅವರು ಖಾತೆ ನೋಡುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಖಾತೆ ಗೊಂದಲದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ನಾನೇನೂ ಹೇಳಲಾರೆ ಎಂದ ಅವರು, ವಿಜಯನಗರ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕಚೇರಿಗಳ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣ, ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳ ನೇಮಕ ಪ್ರಕ್ರಿಯೆ ನಡೆದಿದೆ. ಆರ್ಥಿಕ ಇಲಾಖೆಯಿಂದ ಈಗಾಗಲೇ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಗೆ 50 ಕೋಟಿ ಬಿಡುಗಡೆಯಾಗಿ ದೆ ಎಂದು ವಿವರಿಸಿದರು.

Oಲಿಜನಸ್ಥಳವಾದ ್ನಯಣ್ಣ ಹುಟ್ಟಿದ ನಂದಗಡವನು ಒಂದು ಐತಿಹಾಸಕ ತಾಣವನಾಗಿ

ಮಾಡಲಾಗುವುದು. ಮಾಜಿ ಸಿಎಂ ಬಿ.ಎಸ್.ಯಡಿಯೂರಪ್ಪ ಅವರು ಇದರ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಗಾಗಿ ಅವರ ಆಡಳಿತದಲ್ಲಿ 80 ಕೋಟಿ ರೂ. ಅನುದಾನ ಘೋಷಣೆ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದು, ಶೀಘ್ರದಲ್ಲೇ ಹಣವನ್ನು ಬಿಡುಗಡೆ ಮಾಡಲಾಗುವುದು.

ನಗರದ ಸರಕಾರಿ ಪದವಿ ಪೂರ್ವ ಕಾಲೇಜು ಮೈದಾನದಲ್ಲಿ ರವಿವಾರ ಜರುಗಿ ದ 75ನೇ ಸ್ವಾತಂತ್ರ್ಯ ದಿನಾಚರಣೆಯ ಧಜಾರೋಹಣ ನೆರವೇರಿಸಿ, ಗೌರವ ವಂದನೆ ಸಚಿವ ಮಾಧುಸ್ತಾಮಿ ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು. ಸ್ತೀಕರಿಸಿ, ತುಕಡಿಗಳ ಪರಿವೀಕಣೆ ಮಾಡಿದ ಕುರಿತು ಮಾತನಾಡಿದರು.

ಕಲ್ಪತರು ನಾಡು ನೀರಾವರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸಮೃದ್ಧ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆ: ಹೇಮಾವತಿ, ಎತ್ತಿನಹೊಳೆ, ತುಂಗಾಭದ್ರಾ ವೇಲ್ದಂಡೆ ನೀರಾವರಿ ಯೋಜನೆಗಳಿಂದ ನೀರಾವರಿ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಕಲ್ಪತರು ನಾಡು ರಾಜ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಎಲ್ಲ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಗಳಿಗಿಂತ ಸಮೃದ್ಧ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯಾಗಲಿದೆ. ಈ ಮೂರು ನೀರಾವರಿ ಯೋಜನೆಗಳಿಂದ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ಎಲ್ಲ ಕೆರೆಗಳನ್ನು ಕೆರೆಗಳ ಸಾವುರ್ಥ್ಯದ ಶೇ.50ರಷ್ಟು ನೀರನ್ನು ತುಂಬಿಸಲು ವಿಸ್ತತ ಯೋಜನಾ ವರದಿ ತಯಾರಿಸಲಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಯೋಜನೆಗಳು ಪೂರ್ಣಗೊಂಡರೆ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆ ಅಂತರ್ಜಲ ಮಟ್ಟ ಹೆಚ್ಚಲಿದೆ. ಪ್ರಗತಿ ಹಂತದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಈ ಯೋಜನೆಗಳ ಕಾಮಗಾರಿಗಳು ಶೀಘ್ರದಲೇ ಫೂರ್ಣಗೊಳಲಿವೆ ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.

ಗ್ರಾಮೀಣ ಪ್ರದೇಶಗಳು ಸಹ ಮಾಧುಸ್ತಾಮಿ ನಗರಪ್ರದೇಶಗಳಂತೆ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಪಡಿಸುವ ಉದ್ದೇಶದಿಂದ ಪ್ರಧಾನಮಂತ್ರಿ ನರೇಂದ್ರ ಮೋದಿಯವರು ಮುಂಬರುವ 2023ನೇ ಸಾಲಿಗೆ ಗ್ರಾಮೀಣ ಪ್ರದೇಶದ ಪ್ರತೀ ಮನೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಕುಡಿಯುವ ನೀರಿನ ಸಂಪರ್ಕ ಕಲ್ಪಿಸಲು ಜಲ ಜೀವನವನ್ ಮಿಷನ್ ಯೋಜನೆಯನ್ನು ಜಾರಿಗೊಳಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಎಂದು ಪಾರ್ವಜನಿಕ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆ ಡಾ.ರಾಮಕೃಷ್ಣ

ನಗರ ಪ್ರದೇಶದ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಗಾಗಿ ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ಕೇಂದ್ರ ಶುಶ್ರೂಷಕಿ ಮಂಜುಳಾ. ನಂತರ ಸ್ತಾತಂತ್ರ್ಯ ಭಾರತದ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣದ ತುಮಕೂರು ಸಾರ್ಟ್ ಸಿಟಿ ಯೋಜನೆಯಡಿ ಬಿಡುಗಡೆಯಾದ 800 ಕೋಟಿ ರೂ.ಗಳ ಪೈಕಿ ಸುಮಾರು 455 ಕೋಟಿ ರೂ. ಖರ್ಚು ಮಾಡಿ ನಗರವನ್ನು ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಪಡಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ ತುಂಗೇಶ್, ಶಿರಾ ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆ ಎಂದು ಮಾಹಿತಿ ನೀಡಿದರು.

ಜಿಲ್ಲಾ ಸಶಸ್ತ್ರ ಮೀಸಲು ಪಡೆ, ಸಶಸ್ತ್ರ ಮೀಸಲು ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಪಡೆ, ನಾಗರಿಕ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ತಂಡ, ಬ್ಯಾಂಡ್ ಸೆಟ್ ತಂಡ, ಗೃಹ ರಕಕ ದಳ, ಅರಣ್ಯ ರಕಕರ ತಂಡ, ಕಲ್ಪತರು ಮಹಿಳಾ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ತಂಡ, ಮಾಜಿ ಸೈನಿಕರ ತಂಡದ ತುಕಡಿಗಳು ಗೌರವ ವಂದನೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದವು. ಸರಕಾರಿ ಎಂಪ್ರೆಸ್ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಸತೀಶ ಕೆ. ಹಾಗೂ ಸಿಎಚ್ಸ್ ಕರೀಂ ಸಾಬ್, ಲಾವಣ್ತ ಮತ್ತು ತಂಡದವರು ನಾಡಗೀತೆ ಪೌರ ಕಾರ್ಮಿಕರಾದ ಇಂದ್ರಮ್ನ, ರಂಗಯ್ಯ ಹಾಡಿದರು

ಈ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಕೋವಿಡ್ ನಿಯಂತ್ರಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾರ್ಯನಿರ್ವಹಿಸಿದ್ದ ಜನಪ್ರತಿನಿಧಿಗಳು ಹಾಗೂ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳು ಪಾವಗಡ ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕ ಆಸತೆ, ಆಡಳಿತ

ನಂದಗಡದಲ್ಲಿ ರಾಯಣ್ಣನವರ ಹೆಸರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಅದ್ಭತವಾದ ಸೈನಿಕ ಶಾಲೆಯನ್ನು ನಿರ್ಮಾಣ ಮಾಡಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಇಲ್ಲಿ ದೇಶ ಕಾಯುವ ಸೈನಿಕರಿಗೆ ಅತ್ತುತ್ತಮವಾದ ತರಬೇತಿ ನೀಡಲಾಗುವುದು. ನಂತರ ಕೇಂದ್ರ ಸರಕಾರಕೆ ಇದನ್ನು ಹಸ್ತಾಂತರ ಮಾಡಲಿದ್ದೇವೆ ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.

ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಚಿವರಾದ ಆರ್. ಅಶೋಕ್, ಎಂ.ಟಿ.ಬಿ. ನಾಗರಾಜ್, ಶಾಸಕ ದಿನೇಶ್ ಗುಂಡುರಾವ್, ವಿಧಾನ ಪರಿಷತ್ ಮಾಜಿ ಸದಸ್ಯ ಎಚ್.ಎಂ.ರೇವಣ್ಣ ಕಾಗಿನೆಲೆ ಕನಕ ಗುರುಪೀಠ ಪೀಠಾಧ್ಯಕ್ಷ ನಿರಂಜನಾ ನಂದಪುರಿ, ಬಿಬಿಎಂಪಿ ಆಡಳಿತಾಧಿಕಾರಿ ರಾಕೇಶ್ ಸಿಂಗ್, ಬಿಬಿಎಂಪಿ ಮುಖ್ಯ ಆಯುಕ್ತ ಗೌರವ್ ಗುಪ್ತಾ, ಮುಖ್ಯಮಂತ್ರಿ ಪ್ರಧಾನ ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿ ಎನ್.ಮಂಜುನಾಥ್, ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ನಗರ ಜಿಲ್ಲಾಧಿಕಾರಿ ಹೆಸರಿಡುವಂತೆ ಬೇಡಿಕೆಯಿದೆ. ನಾನು ಈ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಜೆ.ಮಂಜುನಾಥ್ ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ಪ್ರಮುಖರಿದ್ದರು.

ಪುನಾರಂಭಿಸ ಲಾಗಿದ್ದು, 10 ಸಾವಿರ ರೈತರಿಗೆ ನೆರವಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಮೈಷುಗರ್ ಕಾರ್ಖಾನೆ ಪುನಾರಂಭಕ್ತೆ ಅಗತ್ಯ ಕ್ರಮ ವಹಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಜಿಲ್ಲಾ ಉಸ್ತುವಾರಿ ಸಚಿವ ಕೆ.ಸಿ.ನಾರಾಯಣಗೌಡ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ನಗರದ ಸರ್.ಎಂ.ವಿಶ್ವೇಶ್ವರಯ್ಯ ಕ್ರೀಡಾಂಗಣ ದಲ್ಲಿ ರವಿವಾರ 75ನೇ ಸ್ವಾತಂತ್ಯೋತ್ಸವ ಕಾರ್ಯ ಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಧ್ವಜಾರೋಹಣ ನೆರವೇರಿಸಿ ಮಾತ ನಾಡಿದ ಅವರು, ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ಸರ್ವತೋಮುಖ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಗೆ ಸರಕಾರ ಶ್ರಮಿಸುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಹಿಂದೆಂದೂ ಕಾಣದಂತಹ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ ನಮ್ಮ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಆಗುತ್ತಿದೆ ಎಂದರು.

ಮುಖ್ಯಮಂತ್ರಿಯಾಗಿ ಅಧಿಕಾರ ಸ್ವೀಕರಿಸಿದ ಬಸವರಾಜ ಬೊಮ್ತಾಯಿ ಅವರು ಕೃಷಿಕರ ಮಕ್ತಳಿಗೆ ಉನ್ಗತ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣಕ್ತೆ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿವೇತನ, ಹಿರಿಯ ನಾಗರಿಕರಿಗೆ, ವಿಧವೆಯರಿಗೆ, ಅಂಗವಿಕಲರ ಪಿಂಚಣಿ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಬದುಕು ಬೆಳಗಿಸುವ ಮಹತ್ವದ ಯೋಜನೆಗಳನ್ನು ಜಾರಿಗೆ ತಂದಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.

ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಗೆ ಪ್ರಧಾನಮಂತ್ರಿ ಕಿಸಾನ್ ಸಮ್ದಾನ್ ಯೋಜನೆಯಡಿ ಇಲ್ಲಿಯವರೆಗೆ ಒಟ್ಟು 2,63,000 ರೈತ ಫಲಾನುಭವಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಒಟ್ಟು 50.43 ಕೋಟಿ ರೂ. ಸಹಾಯಧನ ಪಾವತಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಕೃಷಿ ಯಾಂತ್ರೀಕರಣ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಡಿ 33.64 ಕೋಟಿ ರೂ. ವೆಚ್ಚದಲ್ಲಿ 19,511 ರೈತರಿಗೆ ವಿವಿಧ ಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಸಚಿವರು ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು. ಯಂತ್ರೋ ಪಕರಣಗಳನ್ನು ವಿತರಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.

Tata Steel's European business performance disappointed the Street in the first quarter. However, executive director and CFO Koushik Chatterjee tells Shubhra Tandon in an email interview that the upsides of the price increase in steel will reflect in the subsequent quarters. He also says the company has put away the sale plans of European business for now. Excerpts.

The company's European business performance disappointed as the Street had pencilled in a much higher Ebitda/ tonne, especially after the performance of some of the industry peers. What is ailing the business there?

In reality, the performance of Tata Steel Europe this quarter has been sequentially better with a positive profit after tax and has been at the trend levels across the peer group in Europe in terms of Ebitda margin. The nature of the business in Europe is more contract oriented and not on spot prices, which means there will be a lag between the increase in spot price spreads and the "felt spreads" as there is a lagimpact on the profitability. Hence the spot increase in the first quarter will flow into second and third quarters as the existing contracts are renewed, and we expect the spreads to expand materially. The prices in Europe continue to be strong through the summer and hence will have positive impact on future quarters.

Over 50L new investor registrations since April says NSE chief Limaye

PRESS TRUST OF INDIA New Delhi, August 15

STOCK EXCHANGE NSE has witnessed more than 50 lakh new investor registrations in this fiscal, its chief Vikram Limaye said on Sunday.

This is equal to $62.5%$ of the total number of new investor registrations, at around 80 lakh, that were added last fiscal (2020-21), he said.

The NSE, which has been at the forefront of supporting small organisations and retail investors, has witnessed more than 50 lakh new investor registrations since April this year, Limaye said.

Direct retail participation has strengthened significantly during the last few years, which has been reflected in a sharp rise in new investors and an increase in individual investors' share in the overall market turnover.

Limaye, in his Independence Day address, said, "NSE's elaborate investor education programme in over 600 cities, significantly enhancing financial literacy pan-India, thereby leading to improvement in retail participation, and the continued surge in equity markets, has led to NSE witnessing 1.70 crore investor registrations in the last two years." The average daily turnover

in NSE's equity and equi derivative segments register

a growth of $70%$ and $32%$ , respectively, in the last fiscal, triggered by increasing participation from the retail segment, he said.

"India's young demography is its greatest asset, which can strengthen its competitiveness and influence globally. As India progresses towards becoming a selfreliant nation, we all need to strive towards building the right environment and infrastructure conducive for long-

term sustainable growth and development," Limaye said. Referring to India celebrating 30 years of economic liberalisation, he said, "Two important developments that

contributed significantly to capital market development during the liberalisation policy of the 1990s were establishment of the market regulator, the Sebi, and demutualisation of stock exchanges."

• $2.$ Limited Review of the above results has been carried out by the Auditors.
• 1. Investors Grievances during the quarter: Received - Nil, Attended - Nil, Pending - Nil.
• 1. The company has received 32 new contracts in Europe including Autosphere and Clara Automobile.
• 1. US client additions have topped 41 clients including Buymycar, Polk and Human Al Co.
• 1. The Company operates in one reportable segment only.
• 1. Employee benefit expenses for the quarter ended 30th June, 2021 includes Rs. 20.46 lakhs expenses recognised on account of Stock option offered to employees under ESOP Schemes, recognised over the vesting period.
• 1. Other income for the quarter ended 30th June, 2021 includes Rs. 43.61 lakhs pertains to old credit balances write back made & shown as other income in P&L.
• Previous period figures have been re-grouped/reclassifed wherever necessary to conform to the 9. current period presentation.

*Over the same quarter of the previous year, at consolidated level.
