EQT establishes new structure with Investor as long-term partner

EQT has established a new corporate structure, which will bring operations, fund administration and investments in general partners together under EQT Holdings AB. The new structure will facilitate growth as well as increase transparency and secure a solid, long-term financial platform.

Investor will ultimately swap its 31 percent stake in EQT Partners AB for a 19 percent ownership stake in the new EQT Holdings AB. This ownership will entitle Investor to receive future dividends from EQT Holdings AB. As before, Investor remains a sponsor and will continue to receive carry from new funds to which Investor commits capital. The new structure does not materially change the total value of Investor's economic interests in EQT. As before, Investor will not have any influence over the investment decisions made by the individual EQT funds.

The owners of EQT Holdings will jointly appoint a new board for EQT Holdings. This process is currently underway and the board will consist of senior and experienced international industrialists.

Investor's investments in existing EQT funds are unaffected by the new structure. By the end of the first quarter 2013, the reported value of Investor's investments in EQT amounted to SEK 10.9 bn., and outstanding commitments to the funds amounted to SEK 4.8 bn.
