INTERPUMP ACQUIRES SPAIN-BASED INOXPA GROUP
A world-renowned brand in food, pharma & cosmetics sectors
Sant'Ilario d'Enza (RE), February 3, 2017 – Interpump Group announces the acquisition of 100% of the INOXPA group, headquartered in Spain, a manufacturer and seller of process equipment and flow handling systems for the food, cosmetics and pharmaceutical industries, with a brand well known all over the world.
Today's acquisition significantly widens and integrates the products of the Water-Jetting division, which will now be able to supply – besides Bertoli-branded homogenizers, a wide range of pumps, valves, mixers, processing systems and accessories, entirely manufactured in stainless steel and compliant with the strict requirements of the food industry.
Headquartered near Girona (north of Barcelona, Spain), Inoxpa makes over 75% of sales through 20 branches in 18 countries abroad, which will further reinforce Interpump's already solid international footprint.
In the fiscal year 2016, the Inoxpa group registered sales for nearly 60 million euro, with EBITDA of 11.5 million euro, corresponding to 19.3% of sales. The agreed price was 90 million euro, corresponding to 76 million euro of enterprise value plus a 14-million positive net financial position.
"The acquisition of a solid, international company like Inoxpa significantly widens the scope of synergies and our opportunity horizon in the food, pharma and cosmetics markets" – said Fulvio Montipò, Interpump Group President and CEO.
