INTERPUMP GROUP ACQUIRES MEGA PACIFIC
Sant'Ilario d'Enza (RE), 29 July 2016– Interpump Group announces the acquisition of a control stake (65%) of Mega Pacific Pty Ltd (Australia) and Mega Pacific NZ Pty Ltd (New Zealand), one of the leading distributors of hydraulic products in Oceania. Mega Pacific is characterized by a strong local presence, with 7 sales branches.
In the fiscal year ended June 30, 2016, total sales amounted to 20.5 million AUD (up 8%). In the previous fiscal year, Mega Pacific registered EBITDA of 3.7 million AUD (or 19.5% of sales).
With the acquisition of Mega Pacific, the Interpump Group makes a giant leap forward in its organized presence in the Oceanian countries.
The price paid for the transaction was 12 million AUD, subject to adjustments based on final results as at June 30, 2016. Call and Put options have been agreed upon for the transfer of the remaining 35%, exercisable in five years starting from the date of the closing.
