Innofactor Plc's subsidiary Innofactor Software Ltd was selected in a public
procurement procedure to deliver a platform transfer and deployment of intranet
and extranet for Tekes - the Finnish Funding Agency for Technology and
Innovation. The value of the contract is EUR 557,585.
The delivery includes planning of the whole process and the architecture and
security as well as installation of SharePoint platform, implementation of
extranet services on SharePoint platform, implementation of intranet desktop
services and their further development, integration of intranet and extranet
into the back-up systems as well as their hosting and further development.
The objective of this acquisition is to reform the content management of Tekes
so that users can be provided with an efficient, high-quality, easy-to-use
intranet environment. The content management platform must support the Intranet
concept of Tekes for an easy access of employees to information and tools, as
well as a communication channel for information sharing and creating sense of
community. Another objective is to provide stakeholders of Tekes an easy-to-use
extranet portal. In addition to intranet and extranet environments the
acquisition is about offering tools for Tekes employees and designated
stakeholders.
Tekes is the most important publicly funded expert organization for financing
research, development and innovation in Finland. Tekes works with the top
innovative companies and research units in Finland. Every year, Tekes finances
some 1,500 business research and development projects, and almost 600 public
research projects at universities, research institutes and polytechnics.
This transaction strengthens Innofactor's position as a provider of SharePoint
solutions which are one of the areas of Innofactor's core competence.
