Appointment of Paul Gough as a Director of Infratil Limited

Infratil Chairman, Mr David Newman, today announced the appointment of Paul Gough to the Infratil Board.

Mr Gough has had a career in investment banking and private equity working in New Zealand and the United Kingdom. He is currently a partner in STAR Capital Partners Limited, a private equity fund based in London, where he is responsible for the acquisition and management of investments on behalf of the fund. Mr Gough has a particular focus on the transport and energy related sectors and is a director of several international companies. Mr Gough is a New Zealander and previously worked for Credit Suisse First Boston in New Zealand and in London.

Mr Gough has a Bachelor of Commerce, with First Class Honours, from the University of Otago.

Mr Newman said that the appointment of Mr Gough followed a world-wide search for director skills that supported Infratil’s strategic intent and investment focus. Mr Newman added that Mr Gough would bring additional diversity in thinking and to investment geographies from his experience working across Europe and Asia in particular.

The Company considers that Mr Gough is an independent director.
