Leo Ašmanis joins INDEXO's Audit committee

The IPAS INDEXO Audit Committee will be joined by Leo Ašmanis, a certified auditor and Director of Internal Audit at AS Latvenergo, who previously worked at the Bank of Latvia. The IPAS INDEXO Audit committee also includes Svens Dinsdorfs, who is the committee chair, and Renāts Lokomets.

“INDEXO Group is rapidly developing in various directions – both in pension management and banking services. We are also working on a voluntary share buyback offer for DelfinGroup shareholders, which could potentially provide additional momentum for INDEXO Group. On this path of growth, the audit and internal oversight function is critically important so that all our shareholders and partners can be fully confident in the best governance practices within our group. Therefore, I am pleased that such a knowledgeable audit specialist as Leo Ašmanis is joining us,” says Henrik Karmo, Chairman of the Management Board of IPAS INDEXO and one of the founders of INDEXO.

Leo Ašmanis began his professional career at consulting firms Arthur Andersen and Ernst & Young Baltic. Later, in 2005, he joined the Bank of Latvia team, where he served as Deputy Chief Accountant, and from 2009 continued as Head of the Internal Audit Department. He has also been Chairman of the Control Committee of the Nordic Investment Bank.

Leo Ašmanis holds a bachelor’s degree of Social Sciences in Management from the University of Latvia. In 2005, he obtained his certified auditor’s license, and later, in 2015, earned the Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) professional qualification.
