Immutep receives A$872,351 R&D Tax Incentive
SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA - Immutep Limited (ASX: IMM; NASDAQ: IMMP) (“Immutep” or the “Company”), is pleased to announce that it has received a A$872,351 cash rebate from the Australian Federal Government’s R&D tax incentive program. The cash rebate provided in respect of expenditure incurred on eligible R&D activities conducted in the 2018 fiscal year, mainly related to the Company’s TACTI-mel trial, a Phase I clinical study in melanoma using its lead compound eftilagimod alpha (“efti” or “IMP321”), conducted in Australia.
Immutep will apply the funding towards furthering its current active clinical trial programs for its lead product, IMP321.

Efti is currently in a Phase IIb clinical trial as a chemoimmunotherapy for metastatic breast cancer termed AIPAC (clinicaltrials.gov identifier NCT02614833); a Phase II clinical trial referred to as TACTI-002 (Two ACTive Immunotherapies) to evaluate a combination of efti with KEYTRUDA® (pembrolizumab) in several different solid tumours (clinicaltrials.gov identifier NCT03625323); a planned Phase I clinical trial referred to as INSIGHT-004 to evaluate a combination of efti with avelumab (clinical trials.gov identifier NCT03252938); and a Phase I combination therapy trial in metastatic melanoma termed TACTI-mel (clinicaltrials.gov identifier NCT02676869).
