Director of Anadis Limited, Professor Roy Robins-Browne presented findings using Anadis' respiratory protection technology today at the American Society of Microbiology's Biodefense Research Conference in Baltimore USA. The findings demonstrate the successful use of antibodies and antibody fragments to protect against dangerous bacteria delivered by aerosol. In particular the results were aimed at demonstrating protection from challenge by organisms that are dangerous because they survive within the immune cells of the lings and produce toxins that kill.
The model used was designed to mimic the way Anthrax and Plague bacteria act when presented to the hings by aerosol. An abstract of the presentation can be found at the Anadis web site : www.anadis.com.au.
