18 June 2012, Melbourne, Australia: Australian biopharmaceutical company Immuron Limited (ASX: IMC) announced its Share Purchase Plan ( SPP ) has now closed and a total amount of $442,050 has been raised under the SPP offer.
Immuron has also been advised that Patersons Securities Limited has exercised the right under the underwriting agreement to terminate the underwriting of the SPP offer due to market conditions.
The total amount raised through the recent private placements announced on 23 April 2012 and the SPP offer is, accordingly, $1,442,050.
Immuron's CEO, Joe Baini said: "The funds raised from the Share Purchase Plan, together with the earlier $1million private placement, ensure that Immuron is in a good cash position to continue the
® momentum for the commercial roll‐out of Travelan and ongoing discussions with potential
licensees for our promising NASH/fatty liver product. We appreciate the support of our shareholders and Patersons Securities Limited’s management of the offer.
The Company expects the allocation of shares under the SPP offer to be completed in the next few days, at which time the Company's Appendix 3B will be lodged in respect of the allotment.
