IMMURON RAISES $1.437 MILLION

5 July 2010, Melbourne and Sydney Australia: Immuron (ASX: IMC) has successfully raised $1.437 million through its Shareholder Purchase Plan (SPP) and a placement to sophisticated investors.

The SPP raised $691,387 and $746,016 was raised in a placement to sophisticated investors. Both of these issues were made at 6.5 cents per share and represent the issue of an additional 22,113,870 shares, bringing Immuron’s quoted securities to 311,051,948 ordinary shares.

A list of the top 20 shareholders after the above raisings is attached.

The funds raised will be primarily used to accelerate the development of Immuron’s hyper-immune technology in non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH) and influenza. The NASH product is currently in Phase II clinical trials and the influenza product is in late stage preclinical trials.

Immuron’s Chief Executive Officer, Dr Grant Rawlin, said “We are delighted with our latest round of fundraising which, in addition to allowing us to accelerate our clinical programs, will also be used to further our global licensing efforts.
