I announce the following Board and Management changes

All changes will take effect from today.

Dr Elane Zelcer, BSc (Hons), PhD, Grad Dip Mktg, FAICD has been appointed a Director of the Company. Dr Zelcer has had considerable experience in the Biotechnology sector, including CEO positions with biotech companies and the commercialisation company for intellectual property developed at Monash University, and as a director of the Dairy CRC. Dr Zelcer is currently the Executive Director of BioConsult Pty Ltd which focuses on assisting companies to develop their intellectual property through strategic partnering, capital raising and collaboration. Dr Zelcer is also the National Convenor for Hadassah Australia’s AUSiMED program and the current Chair of the Victorian State Government Bioeconomy Working Group – a part of the State Government’s Biotechnology Strategy.

I am also pleased to announce that the Company has appointed Dr Grant Rawlin as the Chief Executive Officer of the Company. Dr Rawlin, a veterinarian and scientist, has been with the Company since 2000. Most recently, he has been the company’s General Manager of Research and Development and has been central to the intellectual property developed by the company. Dr Rawlin led the team that developed the commercial antibody production system that is now at the core of Immuron’s research and commercialisation activities. He has visited Israel twice in the past six months to facilitate research being conducted at the Hadassah Medical Centre, and has developed an excellent relationship with the research and commercialisation teams at that important centre.

The new appointments reflect a change in the strategic direction of Immuron and, importantly, introduce experience in the areas of partnering and commercialisation at a time when the company’s research enters the critical human trial phase.
