Placement of the Entire Rights Issue Shortfall

Further to Bass Metals Ltd’s (“the Company”) announcement dated 23 December 2009 regarding the Company's non-renounceable rights issue (Rights Issue), the Company is pleased to announce firm commitments have been received for the placement of the entire Rights Issue shortfall of 3,929,041 new Shares at an issue price of 23 cents per Share to unrelated parties of the Company raising a further $903,679.43. Allotment and issue of the 3,929,041 new Shares is expected to occur this week.

The Directors again wish to thank all parties that participated in the Rights Issue and those parties that participated in the placement of the Rights Issue shortfall.
