TRADING HALT
The securities of Bass Metals Limited (the "Company") will be placed in pre-open at the request of the Company, pending the release of an announcement by the Company. Unless ASX decides otherwise, the securities will remain in pre-open until the earlier of the commencement of normal trading on Monday, 23 November 2009 or when the announcement is released to the market.

REQUEST FOR TRADING HALT
Pursuant to ASX Listing Rule 17.1, Bass Metals Ltd requests a trading halt effective market open on Thursday, 19 November 2009 pending the release of an announcement in relation to a material capital raising. The Company expects to come out of the trading halt effective market open on Monday, 23 November 2009. Bass Metals Ltd is not aware of any reason the trading halt should not be granted.
