HELLYER MINE PROJECT STUDY MANAGER APPOINTMENT

I am very pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Terry Burns as Hellyer Mine Project (HMP) Study Manager. The Company recently announced a significantly expanded high grade, polymetallic (Zn, Pb, Cu, Ag & Au) resource base at the HMP, and this is Bass Metals’ core growth focus at this time. The appointment of a full time Study Manager reflects the Company’s commitment to expediting the study process and developing a project, subject to a positive outcome.

Mr Burns is a geologist and multi-disciplined mining professional who brings many years of precious and base metal expertise to Bass Metals and the HMP. He has direct experience in the development of new and “recycled” projects, the underground and open pit mining of polymetallic base metal deposits from a 25 year career in the mining and mining finance sectors. He is a Fellow of the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy and has worked in senior technical and management roles ( including Chief Geologist and Operations Manager ) for companies such as WMC, MIM, Normandy Metals, Pasminco, and Hill 50 Gold. More recently as a Senior Resources Analyst he has visited Bass Metals project areas and has been an enthusiastic supporter of the Company from prior to the Company’s Initial Public Offering in 2005.

I welcome Terry on board and look forward to his contribution to the evaluation and potential development of the HMP.
