Globe Metals & Mining (“ Globe ” or “ the Company ”; ASX:GBE) is pleased to announce the appointment of Ms Alice Wong to the Board, effective immediately.
Ms Alice Wong, the Principle of Apollo Metals Investment Company Limited, has been appointed to the Board as a NonExecutive Director, as part of the investment transaction between Apollo and Globe.
Globe’s Managing Director Alistair Stephens stated: “This brings to Globe skills in commerce and capital market investment that will enhance Globes broader market exposure and Board skills. The appointment of Ms Wong also improves our gender balance on the Board”.
Ms Alice Wong, a United Kingdom national, commenced her career with Pricewaterhouse as an auditor for leading international companies such as HSBC, OCBC, CLSA Asia, Nomura, and Jardine Fleming.
Ms Wong subsequently worked in the investment banking industry in Hong Kong where her career spanned across BNP Paribas Peregrine, ABN AMRO Rothschild, and Morgan Stanley. In her investment banking career Ms Wong engaged in equity capital markets including IPOs, share placements, rights issues, and bond issues for a vast range of clients.
Ms Wong is a private investor in a range of industries including the minerals sector, and Managing Partner of LMC Group Co. Ltd., a company specialising in sales and marketing of ultra-luxurious products in Greater China. Ms Wong holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and Finance from the University of Hong Kong with Honours. She is also a Certified Public Accountant in Washington State, USA, and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).
Last week Globe appointed an independent non-executive director, Mr Bo Tan, who brings strong commerce skills and investment market experience. The appointment of Ms Wong and Mr Tan significantly expands Globe Board skills and exposure to capital market investments.

About Globe Metals & Mining
Globe is an African-focused resources company, with a strategy to become a niobium and tantalum producer in Africa, and to grow the company’s investment opportunities in the minerals industry.
Globe’s current focus is the Kanyika Niobium Project in Malawi, which will produce niobium and tantalum products; key additives in steels and electronics. The Mineral Resource statement substantiates that Kanyika could support a 20 year mine life.
