GENUS AWARDED MERREDIN BESS AND SUBSTATION WORKS

HIGHLIGHTS:

• Genus has been awarded a contract by Atmos Renewables for the Balance of Plant Engineering and Procurement of the Merredin BESS and Substation in Western Australia.

• Contract for the BOP Merredin BESS and Substation Works worth approximately $65 million

• The Merredin BESS and Substation will be a flagship project for Atmos Renewables

National essential power and communications infrastructure provider GenusPlus Group Ltd (ASX: GNP) ( Genus or the Company ) has been awarded a contract by Atmos Renewables to perform the design and construction of the Merredin Battery Energy Storage System ( Merredin BESS ) and Substation Works in Western Australia ( Project ). The contract is subject to the issue by Atmos Renewables of a notice to proceed immediately upon the project achieving financial close in the coming weeks.

The 100MW 4-hour Merredin BESS Project site is located approximately 7.5km south-west of the town of Merredin which is approximately 230 km east of Perth in the West Australian Wheatbelt. The 4-hour Battery Energy Storage System will provide valuable support to the grid network and contribute to enhancing security of supply in the Western Australian Electricity Market. The site is 4km south of the Great Eastern Highway along the Bruce Rock – Merredin Road and is adjacent to the Merredin Solar Farm to the southeast.

Genus will undertake the detailed design, procurement, installation and associated civil works for the Project, with the contract having an approximate value of $65 million to be delivered over a 18-month period commencing from receipt by Genus of a notice to proceed, with the Project expected to be completed in early 2027. Genus will engage with circa 70 personnel to complete the Project using significant local content from Western Australia.
