GENUSPLUS AWARDED ADDITIONAL WORK FOR WESTERN POWER

HIGHLIGHTS:

  • Genus has been awarded further additional works under its contract for Western Power’s Clean Energy Link – North (CELN) project awarded in January 2025

  • Genus has secured a new contract for Network Renewal Undergrounding Power Project (NRUPP) works package

  • Additional works total value at approximately $50 million for CELN

  • NRUPP total value at approximately $25 million for undergrounding works

National essential power and communications infrastructure provider GenusPlus Group Ltd (ASX: GNP) ( Genus or the Company ) has been awarded further additional works under a variation of its contract with Western Power for the Clean Energy Link – North project ( CELN Project ), first awarded on 10 January 2025 and additional works announced on 23 July 2025. Additionally, Genus has been awarded a contract for Network Renewal Underground Power Pilot project (NRUPP)[ 1] works with Western Power in August 2025.

CELN Project is a major transmission network upgrade to the northern section of Western Australia’s largest electricity network to support the connection and transport of a greater supply of renewable energy from the Mid West region – an ideal location to harness the power of wind and solar energy as WA moves towards net zero[2] .

The project includes new 330kV & 132kV terminal and line builds within the existing network to increase transmission network capacity, and existing line conversions and upgrades to unlock the flow of clean energy to and from the area.

The variation for the further additional works is approximately $50 million and includes the design and construction of a new 132kV dual circuit transmission line, and related 132kV and 330kV transmission enabling and line conversion works. The scheduled completion of the contract under which the further additional works will be performed remains unchanged and is expected to be mid-2027.

This brings the total CELN Project packages awarded to Genus by Western Power to approximately $390 million in value to date.

The NRUPP is the network renewal undergrounding program, in which Western Power selects areas based on a network-driven approach. The value of this contract is approximately $25 million.

Genus Managing Director, David Riches, said Genus was very pleased with the award of the further additional works as it continues to develop its long-standing relationship with Western Power.

Genus is very pleased to have been awarded further works for the CELN Project and NRUPP by Western Power, and is looking forward to delivering them safely, on time and on budget as it continues to deliver quality work for longstanding client Western Power as a trusted delivery partner .

The Board of the Company has authorised the release of this announcement to the market.
