GENUSPLUS AWARDED FORTESCUE DECARBONISATION CONTRACTS

HIGHLIGHTS:

  • Genus has been awarded three contracts as part of Fortescue’s decarbonisation plan in Western Australia

  • The Contracts have a combined value of approximately $60 million

  • Planned completion fourth-quarter 2026

National essential power and communications infrastructure provider GenusPlus Group Ltd (ASX: GNP) ( Genus or the Company ) has been awarded three contracts for the construction of 220kV Transmission Lines, design and construction of approximately 30 kilometres of overhead power distribution infrastructure at Fortescue’s Christmas Creek mine site and the construction of fast charger and pit power facilities at Eliwana and Flying Fish.

Fortescue is committed to decarbonising its operations in mining, port, rail, non-process Infrastructure (NPI) and mobile fleet in the Pilbara in Western Australia to achieve Real Zero terrestrial emissions by 2030. Fortescue’s decarbonisation plan includes development of green power generation.

Genus will undertake the construction of the overhead 220kV transmission line infrastructure within Solomon mine. Genus will undertake design and construction of overhead 33kV power distribution infrastructure which includes 300 poles and overhead line conductor and associated hardware as well as the construction of two fast chargers and four pit power facilities. The contracts total circa $60 million.

Peak onsite manning will be approximately 80 personnel, with site access to be gained in October 2025 and with the works estimated to conclude in the fourth quarter of 2026, for the three contracts.
