CONSTRUCTION TO PROCEED FOR AUSGRID HUNTERCENTRAL COAST RENEWABLE ENERGY ZONE SUBTRANSMISSION LINE WORKS

HIGHLIGHTS:

• In December 2024 Genus was awarded a contract for approximately $140 million (including Early Services and Construction Works) by Ausgrid for the Hunter-Central Coast Renewable Energy Zone sub-transmission line works

• The Construction Contract was subject to execution of the Project Deed between Ausgrid and the Energy Corporation of New South Wales. The Project Deed has now been executed and works under the Construction Contract will commence in February 2026 and complete in Q1 2028

• Works will include demolition of existing 132kV and 66kV sub-transmission lines, construction of circa 110kms of new 132kV and 66kV dual/single circuit sub-transmission line, replacement of 30 kms of earthwire with optical ground wire, and installation of 2 kms of ADSS

National essential power and communications infrastructure provider GenusPlus Group Ltd (ASX: GNP) ( Genus or the Company ) confirms that the contract awarded to it by Ausgrid for the Hunter-Central Coast Renewable Energy Zone sub-transmission line construction works ( Contract ) (refer to its ASX announcement dated 19 December 2024) is no longer subject to the Project Deed between Ausgrid and the Energy Corporation of New South Wales being executed. Genus will proceed to commence construction works in February 2026.

Details of the Hunter-Central Coast Renewables Energy Zone and the scope of work under the Construction Contract are set out in Genus’ ASX Announcement of 19 December 2024 and are comprised of: demolition of 86 kilometres of existing 132kV and 66kV sub-transmission lines, constructing of 106 kilometres of 132kV and 66kV dual/single circuit 132kV sub-transmission lines from Kurri Sub-transmission Station to a new Eastern Hub Switching Station; constructing of 4 kilometres of dual circuit 132kV sub-transmission lines from Muswellbrook Switching Station to Muswellbrook bulk supply point; and the replacement of 30 kilometres of earthwire with optical ground wire and the installation of 2 kilometres of ADSS fibre optic cable.

The Contract value is circa $140 million (including the Early Services and the Construction Works), with the Early Services being delivered between December 2024 to February 2026, and the Construction Works to commence in February 2026 and to be completed in Q1 2028.
