GENUS AWARDED SUBSTATION WORKS FOR QUEENSLAND ALDOGA SOLAR FARM PROJECT

HIGHLIGHTS:

• Genus has been awarded a contract by ACCIONA Energia for the Aldoga 275kV Solar Farm substation design and construction works (Substation Works) in Queensland

• Contract for the Substation Works approximately $40 million

• The Aldoga Solar Farm development and 275kV Substation will be a flagship renewable energy project on land leased by Economic Development Queensland

National essential power and communications infrastructure provider GenusPlus Group Ltd (ASX: GNP) ( Genus or the Company ) has been awarded a contract by ACCIONA Energia to perform the design and construction of the Substation Works for the Aldoga Solar Farm development in Queensland.

The Aldoga Solar Farm development and 275kV Substation will be a flagship renewable energy project built on land leased from Economic Development Queensland (EDQ) as part of the Queensland Government’s aim to increase renewable energy supply, generate jobs and support economic growth for the future.

The Aldoga Solar Farm and Substation site is located approximately 20 kilometres northwest of the city of Gladstone in Central Queensland. The substantial scale of this project will contribute significantly to the Queensland Government’s target of achieving 50 per cent renewable energy by 2030. ACCIONA Energia will build, own, and operate the Aldoga Solar Farm and 275kV Substation.

Genus will undertake the detailed design, procurement, installation and associated civil works for the new 275kV Substation, with the contract having an approximate value of $40 million to be delivered over a 12-month period in 2024. Genus will engage with circa 70 personnel to complete the project using significant local content from regional Queensland.
