Genus-PFA Wins Multiple Asset-Upgrade, Network Maintenance & Pole Reinforcement Contracts
HIGHLIGHTS:
-
Genus-PFA – our specialist network asset inspection & reinforcement services business – has been awarded a number of new & extended contracts with utility providers across Australia’s East Coast.
-
These awards reflect Genus-PFA’s fast-growing momentum since our strategic acquisition of Pole Foundations Australia in 2022
National essential power and communications infrastructure provider GenusPlus Group Ltd (ASX: GNP) ( Genus or the Company ) is pleased to announce that our Genus-PFA business has been awarded several critical contracts – both new and through extension – with major utility providers across Australia’s East Coast
The acquisition of Pole Foundation Australia (PFA) was highly strategic for Genus. The business significantly expands our capability set into a highly specialised service for Tier 1 customers, allowing Genus to provide a full lifecycle service across pole inspection, reinforcement and replacement. Genus-PFA’s growing orderbook provides both momentum and confidence in our acquisition strategy, indicating continued growth in the sector in FY2025 and beyond.
The recent variations & awards include:
Energy Queensland
Genus PFA received a variation to our Standing Order with Energy Queensland for Network Asset Inspections. The variation included:
-
A 4-year extension to our current Energex South-East Qld Region 2 Inspection contract commencing June 2025 with an expected revenue of $6.5 million per annum with a total value of approximately $26 million.
-
Award of a new 5-year Ergon Energy Southern 1 Inspection contract which commenced June 2024 with an expected revenue of $10 million per annum for a total value of approximately $50 million.
-
Award of two new Ergon Energy Pole Nailing contracts in the Northern and Southern 1 regions for a duration of four years, plus two 1-year extensions with an expected revenue of $7.5 million per annum with a total value of approximately $45 million.
Ausgrid
Following a successful trial to introduce PFA’s innovative pole-nailing engineering control to the Ausgrid network - reducing line of fire and ergonomic risks, as well as introduce a more efficient work methodology - Ausgrid awarded Genus-PFA a contract for two years, with two 1-year extension options as part of an existing panel deed. This new contract and client for Genus-PFA is valued at approximately $4.5 million. The anticipated revenue for FY25 is $1.1 million.
