GENUS AND ACCIONA JOINT VENTURE RECEIVES NOTICE TO PROCEED AT HUMELINK
National essential power and communications infrastructure provider GenusPlus Group Ltd (ASX: GNP) ( Genus or the Company ) refers to its ASX announcement dated 4 December 2023 ( 4 December 2023 Announcement ).
Genus is pleased to announce that the joint venture with ACCIONA (Genus (25%) and ACCIONA (75%)) has received a notice to proceed ( NTP ) from Transgrid on the HumeLink Transmission Project pursuant to which enabling works are scheduled to commence in early 2025. Works onsite are expected to commence in May 2025, with practical completion estimated for late 2027.
HumeLink is one of New South Wales’ largest energy infrastructure projects connecting Wagga Wagga, Bannaby and Maragle and includes new and upgraded infrastructure at four substation locations.
As set out in the 4 December 2023 Announcement, the total contract value is approximately $1.4 billion.
The Board of the Company has authorised the release of this announcement to the market.
