Update: Strong passenger growth continues across AIX airport portfolio

Australian Infrastructure Fund (AIX) today reported strong passenger growth across its airport portfolio for the half year period ended 31 December 2010.

For the half year to 31 December 2010, the airport portfolio delivered strong AIX-weighted passenger growth of 8.1 percent. This was largely driven by the Australian airports which surged 9.5 percent above pcp.

The updated result, which follows AIX’s 25 January 2011 announcement on the performance of its Australian airports during the quarter and YTD, includes passenger data for its European airports, which comprise 12.5 percent of the AIX portfolio by value.

AIX Chief Executive Officer, Jeff Pollock, said: “Although the economic situation in Greece continues to be challenging, we are pleased that our German airports have performed strongly for the half year.”
