Update: Impressive passenger growth continues for AIX’s airports
AIX today announced passenger numbers for its airports for the quarter ended 31 March 2010. This release updates the previous AIX announcement on 28 April 2010 to include passenger data received for the European airports.
AIX’s Australian airports continued their impressive growth in passenger numbers, both for the quarter and the financial year to date. The increase in international passengers has been a particular highlight, with double-digit passenger growth experienced through the international terminals of each of AIX’s Australian airports. The European airports have also performed well, with significant improvement in growth rates on the previous quarter.
Total growth in passenger numbers for the quarter and for the financial year to March, compared to total passenger numbers for the prior corresponding period (pcp), was as follows:

AIX Chief Executive Officer, Jeff Pollock, said: “Growth at the European airports has shown significant improvement and, along with the impressive growth experienced by the Australian airports, again demonstrates the strength of AIX’s portfolio.”
