ASX Announcement

Australian Infrastructure Fund (AIX)

7 November 2008

AIX reports continued passenger growth

AIX today announced passenger numbers for the September quarter 2008, with comparison data from the corresponding 2007 period.

In summary, weighted by AIX’s interest, passenger numbers grew by 6.6% in the quarter ended 30 September 2008 compared to the prior year corresponding period.

The highlight of the quarter was the ongoing strong growth in passenger numbers across the Australian airports in the AIX portfolio. Queensland Airports recorded growth of 12.4%, NT Airports recorded growth of 10.4%, Perth Airport recorded growth of 8.8% and APAC recorded growth of 6.9%.

Düsseldorf, Hamburg, and Athens airports all saw a slight reduction in passenger numbers compared to the prior corresponding period, of (0.8)%, (1.0)% and (2.0)% respectively, due mainly to deteriorating economic conditions in Europe. These airports make up 17% of the AIX portfolio by value.
