Positive Interim Results from Mining Industry Field Trials

HIGHLIGHTS

• PureGRAPH[®] enhanced bucket liner provided by newGen has successfully completed the first 12 weeks of trials.

• Inspections indicate the PureGRAPH[®] bucket liner is matching the expectations of a longer service life.

• Assessment by the client, a leading iron producer in the Pilbara, will continue for another 12 weeks.

• Preparations underway to trial PureGRAPH[®] enhanced materials in equipment used by a second iron ore producer.

Advanced materials company, First Graphene Limited (“FGR” or “the Company”) (ASX: FGR) is pleased to provide an update on the Armour-GRAPH™ bucket liner provided by newGen to a major Pilbara iron ore producer.

As previously advised newGen has provided an Armour-GRAPH™ bucket liner to a major iron ore producer for trial containing PureGRAPH[®] 20. The bucket has been in use for in excess of 12 weeks and has now been inspected by the client for assessment of wear, with very pleasing results. The next assessment will be undertaken in 12 weeks.

The normal bucket liner was in serviceable condition, but as can be seen from the photographs below the Armour-GRAPH™ bucket was in a far better condition.

As disclosed by Warwick Grigor in his Chairman’s address to the AGM “The larger the organisation the longer the time frame that would typically extend beyond 12 months. Offsetting this though is the prospect of larger size sales.” This field trial, which will have lasted in excess of half a year when completed, is an example of the extensive testing undertaken by a potential customer, but also of the prospect of larger size sales.

Craig McGuckin, Managing Director for First Graphene Ltd., said, “The trial being conducted by this major iron ore producer is typical of the large, real-life testing being undertaken by First Graphene’s customers. Similar field trials are being conducted by Steel Blue and other parties. We are encouraged by these trials, as only First Graphene has the capacity to deliver high volumes of high-quality graphene to users when they adopt graphene into their products.”
